Recipe for Boiled Egg

This is the simplest recipe I could think of where I'm still "cooking" something. I define cooking as changing food from one form to another using some kind of chemical process (not just physically mixing ingredients together). So, I didn't want to call making a salad or putting together a sandwich. But I don't know. I do see sandwich and salad recipes in cookbooks. So would that be cooking too?

Ingredients:

Egg
Salt
Pepper

Instructions:

Fill a small pot with clean water.
Boil water until you see small bubbles.
Gently put egg in using long-handled spoon.
After 7 minutes, take out egg, or you can empty pot of hot water and replace it with cold water.
When the egg is cooled, peel it, season it, and eat.
