What is a fox?

Foxes are mammals that belong to the family Canidae. They live all over the world, mainly in forested areas
but can manage in mountains, grasslands, and some species live in deserts. They make their homes by digging
dens in the dirt to provide a good place to store food and to keep their baby pups warm.

Most of the foxes you will see in the wild will have a reddish coat, but some can be a light yellow to a dark,
ashy black. The white tip at the end of their tails can distinguish what species of fox they are, no matter their age.
