Terms and Definitions

Check

An action that allows the player to pass the action to the next player without making a wager.

Bet

An amount of money (equal to the minimum ante) that is put up by a the player.

Raise

An action that increases the size of an existing bet in the same betting round. Standard rules require a raise to be equal the amount of the previuos bet or raise.

Call

An action where a player matches the bet of the previous players in order to stay in the game.
